By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigerian clubs participating in the 2024/25 CAF Inter-Club competitions — Remo Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, and Kwara United — are set to receive doubled prize money from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

CAF made the announcement during its Executive Committee meeting held in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Key highlights of announcements include prize money per club has increased from $50,000 to $100,000.

Remo Stars and Rivers United will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.

Abia Warriors and Kwara United will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.

This move is part of CAF’s broader effort to boost incentives and competitiveness in African club football.
