The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the list of referees that will officiate at the African Games.

48 referees have been selected for the football events of the games taking place in Ghana next month.

The officials include 24 referees (men and women) and 24 assist referees (men and women).

Only Basheer Salisu was selected as the solitary Nigerian referee for the games.

Since there is no Video Assistant Referee (VAR) at the games, there were no VAR officials.

The African Games is billed for March 8 to 23, 2024, in Ghana.

For women’s football events, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia are in Group A.

Nigeria, Senegal, Cameron, and Morocco are pitted in Group B.

In men’s football, host, Ghana will face Gambia, Benin Republic, and Congo in Group A.

Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda, and Tunisia are in Group B.
