CAF WCL: Bayelsa Queens spank Moroccan club RAC 11-0 in friendly

Bayelsa Queens beat Racing Athletic Casablanca 11-0 in a test game ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League at the Magic Village in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Restoration Girls were ruthless in a game which saw them dominate proceeding for most parts of the game. Mercy Itimi, Sebastine Flourish, Juliet Sunday, Maryann Ezenagu and Chinyere Igboamalu scored in the game.
After a dominant first half, Bayelsa Queens were pegged back by their hosts early in the second half as Racing came out to attack but former Rivers Angels forward, Maryann Ezenagu opened a deluge of goals in the second half and Bayelsa Queens’ pressure led Racing to scoring an own goal.
The Nigerian champions arrived in Casablanca on Monday, early enough to prepare for their opening game on Monday against defending champions, Memelodi Sundowns in Marrakech.
The WAFU-B champions would hope to get good results against Wadi Degla of Egypt and TP Mazembe in order to qualify for the lucrative semifinals and possibly win the trophy.
