By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

The starting line for Nigeria’s senior women’s national team ahead of Tuesday’s 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Qualifiers return leg clash with Cape Verde has been revealed.

Stand-in coach, Justine Madugu didn’t make any change to the team that thrashed Cape Verde 5-0 in the first leg.

Paris FC goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie maintained her position in goal.

Osinachi Ohale, Tosin Demehin, Akudo Ogbonna, and Rofiat Imuran also maintained their spots.

Deborah Abiodun, Peace Efih, Toni Payne, Gift Monday, Uchenna Kanu, and captain Rasheedat Ajibade complete the unchanged lineup for the game in Praia.

Tochukwu Oluehi, Edet Glory, Esther Okoronkwo, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, Rinsola Babajide, Motunrayo Ezekiel, and Esther Onyenezide find their place on the bench.

A brace from Kanu and Okoronkwo on either side of Monday’s goal sealed a 5-0 win in the first leg.

The deciding match will kick off at 6:00 pm Nigerian time.

A win on aggregate for the nine time African champions will seal qualification for WAFCON 2024.
