Chiamaka Nnadozie dedicates Uefa Women’s Champions League qualification to God

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria international, Chiamaka Nnadozie has developed a reputation as an elite penalty stopper in women’s football.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper was in sensational form in the UEFA Women’s Champions League saving three penalties in two qualifying matches.
The Super Falcons stand-in captain at the 2023 Women’s World Cup saved a penalty from Dominique Janssen in the 61st minute to knockout Wolfsburg 5-3 on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Nnadozie came into the game from saving two penalties against last season’s semifinalist Arsrnal denying Frida Manuum, before blemishing Russo’s injury return.
The Paris FC’s safe hands had saved a penalty for the Super Falcons in their first group game against Olympic champions Canada at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Nnadozie’s display in Germany was as spectacular as it was exceptional, and her incredible saves proved decisive as Paris made it to the group stage for the first time.
The former NWFL shot-stopper took to her social media page after the match to express her gratitude and give glory to God.
.“God, you do this one for me,” Nnadozie posted on her Instagram story. “Will forever praise your holy name.”
