Nigeria’s talented goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, once again demonstrated her prowess between the posts for her French D1 Arkema side, Paris FC, during a convincing 4-0 win over Guingamp in a league fixture on Saturday.

Making her return to action after being rested for the Coupe de France semi-final, Nnadozie showcased her exceptional goalkeeping skills by saving a penalty from Guingamp’s Aissata Traore in the 19th minute. Her remarkable save served as a catalyst for Paris FC’s dominant performance.

The match saw Paris FC take control early on, with Daphne Corboz opening the scoring in the 28th minute. Gaetane Thiney then added a brace in quick succession, finding the back of the net in the 31st and 33rd minutes, further extending Paris FC’s lead.

The rout was completed by Kessya Bussy in the 54th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory for Nnadozie’s side.

Nnadozie exhibited her exceptional goalkeeping prowess throughout the match, playing the full 90 minutes and contributing significantly to her team’s resolute defensive display.

With the win, Paris FC continues to strengthen their position in the league standings, currently occupying third place with 37 points from 16 games, including an outstanding match. They sit comfortably eight points ahead of fourth-placed Montpellier as they aim to secure qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League for consecutive seasons.

Looking ahead, Paris FC will face Fleury in their next league fixture on March 22, 2024, as they strive to maintain their momentum and push towards their season objectives.
