Nigeria forward, Ihezuo Chinwendu, continued her blistering form with a first-half hattrick in C.F. Pachuca Femenil’s 5-0 victory over Costa Rican side Alajuelense W in the CONCACAF W Champions Cup.

The clinical striker needed just 10 minutes to open the scoring, before doubling her tally in the 25th minute.

By the 39th minute, Ihezuo completed her hattrick with a composed finish, giving Pachuca a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.

Pachuca, who were coming off a 2-2 draw in the domestic league, maintained their dominance after the break and added two more goals to seal a convincing 5-0 win on Matchday 3.

Alajuelense, struggling for form in their league campaign, had hoped for a turnaround in continental action but were outclassed by the Mexican side.

Ihezuo’s hattrick not only highlighted her importance to Pachuca but also underlined her growing reputation as one of Africa’s most reliable forwards.
