Chinwendu Ihezuo inspires Pachuca to comprehensive victory over Puebla

Nigeria striker, Chinwendu Ihezuo, showcased her prowess yet again, netting her fifth goal of the season for Pachuca in a decisive 2-0 victory over Puebla in the Mexican women’s football top-flight match held on Tuesday.
Pachuca’s strong performance, fueled by two first-half goals, propelled them closer to the top position in the league standings.
The host, Destinee Noel Manzo Paolinetti, set the tone early with the opening goal at the Estadio Miguel Hidalgo.
Adding to Pachuca’s dominance, Ihezuo secured her team’s lead with a goal in the 45th minute, displaying her scoring prowess once more.
Maintaining her stellar form, Ihezuo played the entire 90 minutes, demonstrating her crucial role in the team’s success. Meanwhile, her compatriot Osinachi Ohale contributed with 70 minutes of action before being substituted by Miriam Garcia.
Following this victory, Pachuca climbed to the second position on the league table with 20 points from nine games, trailing leaders UANL Tigres by four points, who have a game in hand.
Pachuca’s strong position puts them one point ahead of Monterrey and Club America, currently occupying the third and fourth positions, respectively.
Notably, Ihezuo’s former club Monterrey also awaits an outstanding match, highlighting the competitive nature of the league.
Ihezuo’s seamless transition to Mexican football from China continues to yield positive results, underscoring her impact across both of her Mexican teams. Her consistent goal-scoring prowess serves as a testament to her skill and contribution to Pachuca’s success.
