Chioma Olise on cloud nine after Trabzonspor defeat Besiktas in Turkish Women’s League

Nigeria and Trabzonspor midfielder, Chioma Olise has expressed her excitement after her team secured a 2-0 victory over Besiktas Women on Sunday in matchday 19 of the Turkish Women’s Super League.

Trabzonspor sealed the win in the second half with goals from Khabibulleva in the 56th and Msewa 87th minutes, respectively, ensuring an important three points.

Olise, who was introduced in the second half, shared her delight after the game, emphasizing the team’s winning mentality.

“I’m excited about today’s game. We fought hard for the points and got the result we wanted. We’ll keep up the momentum without relenting and approach our next game with full spirit,” she said.

With this victory, Trabzonspor occupy the fifth position on the league table with 38 points.

Their next fixture is an away clash against Fatih Vatan Spor, who are currently eighth with 24 points.

The game is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, 2025.
