Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo has offered his support to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes following his back-to-back red cards in recent matches.

The two players, who previously played together at Serie A club Udinese and later reunited at Manchester United in 2020, have a strong bond both on and off the pitch.

Fernandes has faced increasing scrutiny as Manchester United struggles with performances, with his recent dismissals in a 3-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur and a 3-3 draw against Porto in the UEFA Europa League raising questions about his form.

Despite these setbacks, Ighalo, a former Super Eagles striker and former Manchester United player, has come out in support of his former teammate.

After Fernandes apologized to fans on Instagram following his second red card, Ighalo quickly responded with an encouraging message: “Form is temporary, class is permanent. We’re all with you, my captain,” he wrote.

Fernandes, who has just three assists in all competitions this season, will be hoping to rediscover his best form with the backing of his teammates, including Ighalo, as Manchester United aims to turn their fortunes around.
