Coach Ekeh confirms Rangers ready for Enyimba derby showdown

By Wale Mustapha

Enugu Rangers Head Coach, Ekenedilichukwu Ekeh, has confirmed his side’s readiness ahead of Sunday’s high-stakes oriental derby against arch-rivals Enyimba FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) tie.

The clash is set to take place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, with both teams level on 49 points and separated only by goal difference.

Speaking to Rangers’ media team ahead of the encounter, Coach Ekeh emphasized his team’s determination to deliver a strong performance despite being out of the title race.

“We are prepared as much as we can to push and get a positive result from the top-of-the-bill fixture against Enyimba,” Ekeh said.

“No doubt, they will be coming with all their arsenal, but we have all it takes to contain them and get a good result that will enhance our ending the season on a positive note.

“We know that our fans, both within and outside the country, will be rooting for us on Sunday, and we promise to make them happy at the end of the match.”

Rangers, also known as the Flying Antelopes, will be aiming to edge past the Aba-based People’s Elephants and boost their standing as the season nears its conclusion.
