Daniel Ogunmodede rubbishes claim of Remo Stars’ one-man team tag

Remo Stars Head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has dismissed claims that his club is overly reliant on a single player following their recent defeat to Kwara United.
The Sky Blue team was without their star midfielder, Jide Fatokun, due to injury in their Matchday 33 encounter in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.
Despite their efforts, Remo Stars lost 3-2, with Wasiu Alalade of Kwara United scoring the season’s fastest goal within 18 seconds.
Ogunmodede addressed the media, asserting that the team performed well despite Fatokun’s absence and that their strategy is not dependent on one player.
“Jide is a vital player for us, but those who played also did well; they lived up to expectations,” Ogunmodede said.
“I salute their courage to do what they did. Jide, for us, is an important player, but I don’t build my team around a singular player. It’s a team effort; it’s meant for the group and not for an individual.”
Remo Stars currently hold the third position on the league table with 56 points from 33 games. They are set to face Kano Pillars in Ikenne on Sunday.
