Deborah Abiodun makes All-ACC Freshman and Third Team of the season

In her debut season in the United States of America (USA) Collegiate football system, Nigeria midfielder, Deborah Abiodun continues to make a name for herself with the University of Pittsburgh women’s soccer team.
Abiodun has secured a spot on both the All-ACC Third Team and the All- ACC Freshman Team.
The Super Falcons midfielder is the third Pitt player named to the All-ACC Freshman Team, joining Katie Zailski (2022) and West (2019). She has started in 14 out of the 17 games this season and has played a total of 1004 minutes for the historic Panthers.
Abiodun has scored four goals for her team during her debut season. Along with these double honours, Abiodun had also earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer mid-season Top-100 Freshman list this season – coming in at No. 16.
The former Rivers Angels captain is currently ranked in the top 10 in the ACC for shot accuracy (0.500).
She is expected to play a crucial role when her team faces top seed, Florida State University (FSU) in the semi final of the ACC Championship.
