Desire Oparanozie recounts career achievements after retirement from football

Nigeria legend, Desire Oparanozie has shared her fantastic and breathtaking moments donning Nigeria colours.
The former Super Falcons striker called it quits on her illustrious career at age 29 after her fourth appearance at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand-.
Oparanozie described scoring important goals that helped the Falcons win major trophies as her best moments, while lamenting her injuries and watching teammates from the sidelines as her worst times as a professional.
“Well I’ve had a couple of best moments,” Oparanozie said on SuperSport.
“There are a lot of them, winning trophies, scoring at the finals, scoring the most important goal at the finals, those were amazing best moments for me.
“And the worst are usually injuries l, when you are on the field running and you have a muscle tear, when you’re injured watching from the stands, those were my worst moments.”
Oparanozie won a host of laurels as a professional player which includes two NWFL Premiership titles, and four Women Africa Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) titles.
She hit the back of the net 22 times in 35 appearances for the Super Falcons and won the golden boot at the 2014 WAFCON in Namibia.
