Dooshima Tarnum upbeat about Nasarawa Amazons’ NWFL Super Six chances

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Nasarawa Amazons forward, Dooshina Tarnum is optimistic about her side’s chances of defeating Adamawa Queens to qualify for the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six ticket on Wednesday.
Christopher Danjuma’s side are two points and five-goal short of third placed FC Robo Queens with 19 points. The Solid Miners no longer have their destiny in their hands as they will hope for Robo slip against Confluence Queens in Lagos and a heavy win over Adamawa Queens to fancy their chances of qualifying for the Super Six.
Despite their precarious situation, the former Falconets star believes her side can get the needed victory over Adamawa Queens at the Snake Farm, Keffi to boost their qualification hopes.
“Our preparations for our next game are in top notch. We are very prepared both in our spirit and physically,” Dooshima told the club media.
“We will not allow anything to distract us against Adamawa Queens because we are on course and Super Six on our mind as we will remain focused on the next game.
“The major issue now is our place in the Group B league table, but we are working hard to make the Super Six and possibly play continental football.”
A win for Emmanuel Osahon’s side in Lagos over Confluence Queens will cancel all hopes for Nasarawa Amazons and guarantee the Lagos Landladies a place in the season-ending Super Six tournament.
