Draws conducted for 2025 International Girl Child Day (IGCD) Tournament

The draws for the 2025 Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club (SNWFSC) International Girl Child Day (IGCD) football tournament have been completed, setting the stage for another exciting edition of the annual grassroots event.

With the defending champions, Phoenix Queens, and former champions, Victory Queens, seeded in Groups A and B respectively, the teams and schools were drawn into two evenly balanced groups.

This year’s edition, which marks the fifth anniversary of the IGCD celebration, will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Albati Barracks Mini Stadium, Surulere.

Themed “Climate Change,” the event will feature football matches, mentorship sessions, and educational activities aimed at empowering young girls and promoting awareness on social and environmental issues.
