Former Nigeria International Edema Fuludu scored Nigerian football low in 2022, stressing that a lot of things went wrong which is equally traceable to the maladministration of the sport of the country.

Succour came with age-grade football as the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles both won their U-17 and U-20 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Zonal Championship to qualify for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Nigeria U-17 girls (Flamingos) won the bronze medal in India becoming the first Nigerian women’s U-17 team to win a medal at the tournament.
