Edema Fuludu praises Finidi George’s unwavering leadership qualities
Former Nigerian international, Edema Fuludu, has expressed confidence in Finidi George’s ability to lead the Super Eagles without being influenced by external factors.
Fuludu emphasized the importance of indigenous coaches in guiding the national team, stating that they possess a deeper understanding of the team’s dynamics compared to foreigners.
He praised Finidi’s composure, qualifications, and suitability for the role, highlighting his calm demeanor and coaching expertise.
Fuludu remarked, “I have been saying that employing an indigenous coach for Super Eagles will bring the best out of our national players because he will understand the team better than the foreigners.”
He continued, “Finidi is calm, composed, and has coaching qualifications to handle the team perfectly.”
Addressing concerns about external influences, Fuludu reiterated his belief in Finidi’s ability to maintain independence and make decisions in the team’s best interest. He stated, “As far as I am concerned, he is not someone that can be easily influenced.”
Fuludu also highlighted Finidi’s experience under former foreign coach Jose Peseiro, underscoring his capability to manage players effectively.
Finidi’s tenure as the Super Eagles interim coach began with a victory against Ghana, and he is set to lead the team in another friendly match against Mali in Marrakesh.
