In a bold move to bolster their squad ahead of the new Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season, Edo Queens Football Club has officially announced the signing of Ghanaian goalkeeper, Adjei Charlotte.

The unveiling ceremony took place in Benin City and was graced by key officials, including the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, and the General Manager of Edo Queens FC, Mr. Rollanson Odeh. Both expressed optimism about Charlotte’s impact on the team.

Charlotte, known for her agility, commanding presence in the box, and international experience, is expected to bring depth and stability to the team’s defensive lineup.

She was outstanding for Remo Stars Ladies last season as the Sky Blue Stars qualified for the NWFL Super Six in their second season in the top flight.

The Ghanaian also played for Rivers Angels and Ampem Darkoa in the 2021 and 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League respectively.

Edo Queens FC has reaffirmed its commitment to building a strong, competitive team and continues to invest in top-tier talent as part of its vision to become a dominant force in Nigerian and African women’s football.
