Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions, Edo Queens, will find out their group stage opponents for the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League during the official draw on Friday, October 18, 2024, set to take place at noon Moroccan time.

The fourth edition of the premier women’s football competition in Africa will see eight qualified teams drawn into two groups of four.

AS FAR FC, the host team from Morocco, will be placed in Group A1, while the reigning champions, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies from South Africa, are expected to be seeded in Group B2.

This year’s competition is set to feature five debutants, including Aigles de la Medina (Senegal), Edo Queens (Nigeria), University of the Western Cape (South Africa), Tutankhamun (Egypt), and Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC, marking their first appearance in the tournament.

Alongside the newcomers, established sides like AS FAR FC, Mamelodi Sundowns, and TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo will also compete. AS FAR claimed the title in 2022 on home soil, while Mamelodi Sundowns won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2023.

The CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024 will take place from November 9-23, 2024, and promises to be an exciting tournament, with teams from across Africa battling for supremacy on the continental stage.
