Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions Edo Queens unveiled coach Rollanson Odeh as the club’s new General Manager (GM) on Wednesday.

He was unveiled and presented to the public by the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Enabulele Desmond Amadi.

The event, held amidst much anticipation, marks a new chapter for the club as Odeh steps into the leadership role with a vision to elevate Edo Queens FC to greater heights in women’s football.

Hon. Amadi, in his remarks, expressed confidence in Odeh’s capabilities, citing his vast experience in sports management and commitment to excellence as key assets for the team.

The ceremony brought together key stakeholders in the sports industry, government officials, and passionate supporters of Edo Queens FC, all united in their enthusiasm for the club’s future under Odeh’s guidance.

This development is part of the state government’s broader efforts to promote sports and empower female athletes in Edo State.

Odeh previously served as Edo Queens Team Manager for the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership season.

He has also worked as General Manager of Crown FC of Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

The Benin City-based side finished fourth at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

They hope to retain the NWFL Premiership title when the 2024/2025 campaign gets underway on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
