Enyimba FC moved up the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table after a 2-1 win against Nasarawa United in a rescheduled Matchday 17 game at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba, on Wednesday.

It took Joseph Atule’s goal in the additional minutes of the first half to break the deadlock for the Peoples Elephant.

Anas Yusuf restored parity for the Solid Miners in the 58th minute.

Substitute, Brown Ideye scored the winning goal for Stanley Eguma’s side to seal a 2-1 victory.

The win ended the host’s seven-match winless streak in the league, with all games ending in draws.

The Aba-based side moved to the seventh position on the log with 27 points after 17 games.

They will next face Al Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup Matchday five encounter in Uyo on January 12, 2025.

Nasarawa United, on the other hand, occupy the bottom of the table with 19 points from 19 games.
