Egypt U20 Afcon: Ladan Bosso hints about knowing dozen players of Nigeria squad

Nigeria U20 men’s team head coach, Ladan Bosso said he has already figured out 12 players from the preparatory squad that will make it in his squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Flying Eagles had defeated NPFL side, Lobi Stars 2-0 on Saturday morning at FIFA Goal Project in Abuja to round off the first phase of the team’s preparations for the forthcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations on a high note.

The seven-time African champions have played eight games with seven wins and a draw since the team opened camp on November 28, 2022 and the manager admits gradually finding his best legs for the championship finals.

“In my head now, I have at least 12 players who are ready for the U20 AFCON and hopefully the World Cup,” Bosso told SCORENigeria.

The Flying Eagles will now embark on a two-week recess and are expected to resume camp in the first week of January for the final phase of preparations ahead of the final tournament of the Africa U20 in Egypt.

Meanwhile, the Draw Ceremony for the U20 AFCON is billed to take place in Cairo, Egypt on Friday, 23rd December when the WAFU B champions will discover their grou-stage opponents.

The TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023 will be played between 19 February and 11 March 2023.
