Ekerete Udoh: Former Vandrezzer defender joins Iraqi top club, Al Najaf

Nigerian defender Ekerette Udoh has completed his move to Iraqi Premier League side, Al Najaf on a free transfer.

Udoh, who is one of the tallest defenders in the Nigeria Premier Football League at 6.8 was on the card of Sunshine Stars last season.

He was instrumental to the club’s qualification to the NPFL title deciding Super Six playoffs held in Lagos.

The young defender who has also played for Dakkada signed a year deal with the Iraqi Premier League side to become only the third foreign player at the club for the new season.

Ekerette is expected to improve Al Najaf performance in the coming season, after the club finished 7th in the 20-team format Iraqi Premier League last season.
