Elderson Echiejile Cleared for Sivasspor’s Crucial Clash Against Omeruo’s Kasimpasa

In a significant development ahead of their Turkish Super Lig showdown against Kasimpasa on Sunday, Sivasspor has received the green light for the participation of Nigeria’s defensive stalwart, Elderson Echiejile. Completesportsnigeria.com has confirmed that Echiejile, who was substituted due to an ankle injury during Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Zambia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier last Saturday, is now deemed fit and ready to contribute to Sivasspor’s campaign.

The ankle concern had prompted Echiejile’s premature exit in the waning minutes of the match, but a swift recovery has ensured his availability for the impending clash. Nigeria secured their place in the FIFA World Cup in Russia with a 73rd-minute goal from Alex Iwobi, marking an impressive campaign with four victories and a draw.

Sivasspor’s manager, Samet Aybaba, provided assurance regarding Echiejile’s readiness, stating, “Echiejile will be available to play this weekend.” However, he also acknowledged the need to assess other players who were on international duty during the break.

Currently occupying the 11th position in the Turkish Super Lig standings with nine points from seven games, Sivasspor looks to leverage Echiejile’s prowess. The 29-year-old defender, on a season loan from French champions AS Monaco, has been a consistent presence for Sivasspor, featuring in all matches this season and contributing with one assist.

As the anticipation builds for this crucial encounter, Sivasspor aims to capitalize on Echiejile’s return and climb the league table, enhancing their position in the Turkish Super Lig.
