EPL: “Back to work” – Calvin Bassey urges Fulham to focus on Brighton clash

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey has urged his Fulham teammates to remain focused as they prepare for their upcoming English Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

Marco Silva’s side, who are pushing for a European spot, currently sit in ninth place in the league table.

Bassey, who has been key to Fulham’s strong performances this season, emphasized the importance of being at their best against a high-performing Brighton team.

“We know how good Brighton are. There’s no easy game in this league,” Bassey said in an interview with the club’s official website.

“They’re another team with a lot of quality, so we have to make sure we’re locked in for that one.”

Fulham heads into the match with confidence after their impressive victory over Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup last week.

However, Bassey insisted the team has already moved on from that achievement and is fully focused on the task at hand.

“We’ve had our days to celebrate, but now it’s back to work and make sure we are focused on the game on Saturday,” he added.
