Ex-Napoli striker Schwoch wants Osimhen and Kvaratskheila to step up

By Monsurah Olatunji

Former Italian striker Stefan Schwoch believes that Victor Osimhen must be at his best for Napoli to return to its best and challenge for titles again.
According to the ex-player, Victor Osimhen and Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have to start performing at their optimum levels as they did last season.
Both players have not reached their levels of last season, and Napoli have suffered as a result.
Osimhen bagged 26 goals last season to help Napoli win its first Scudetto title in 33 years while Kvaratskhelia also registered 12 goals.
This means the duo provided 38 of Napoli’s 77 league goals last season as they took Italy by surprise winning 28 of their 38 Serie A games, losing just 4, and drawing 6, in their run-up to the title.
Unfortunately, Osimhen struggled at the start of the season with form and injury.
However, Schwoch ago once played for Napoli recognized the importance of Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia, if Napoli is to be at its beat again.
“To return to certain levels, Napoli must rediscover the performances of elements such as Kvara (Kvaratskhelia) and Osimhen,” Schwoch said per Napoli Magazine.
“The two look for each other much more than before and are finding an acceptable physical condition.
“The team’s leap in quality passes through these two attackers.”
