Former poster boy of Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL, Kayode Ishaq Rafiu was at his best for his Slovenian side, NK Maribor as he guided them to remarkable 3-1 comeback win over NK Krka in the Slovenia Cup.
The former Rivers United forward was a Trojan from the flank for Maribor and he was handful for the visitors, especially in the spirited second half display.
Maribor fans were shocked inside opening 25th minute when Krka took the lead from a counter attack as Marcuisa lobbed over the keeper.
He tested the Nkra keeper twice with his powerful left foot efforts by wasn’t lucky to get past the opponent’s Number One.
The Super Eagles B forward provided another talking moments before half time as he outwitted  two of his markers before delivering a cross into box that evaded everyone in Blue shirt to bury past the keeper.

The hosts would soon regain full control of the game and they added two more goals to seal their qualifications to the next round of the cup games, but not before Rafiu was substituted with an applause for Igro Tolic.
Rafiu has quickly settled down to his new environment since he made summer move from Rivers United towards end of last NPFL season.
He scored 16 goals and provided five before he decided to leave the Nigerian champions for Maribor.
