Ezekiel Henty Aims for Fifth Goal of the Season as Videoton Faces Mezőkövesd-Zsóry
Nigerian striker Ezekiel Henty is poised to extend his impressive goal-scoring streak for Hungarian side Videoton as they prepare to host relegation-threatened Mezőkövesd-Zsóry on Saturday. Henty, formerly of Locomotiv, has netted four goals in 11 Hungarian League appearances for Videoton, demonstrating a prolific form with three goals in the last four consecutive games.
Videoton currently occupies the second spot in the Hungarian League table, sharing the same points as leaders Ferencváros but trailing by a goal difference of +2. Henty, optimistic about contributing to his team’s title aspirations, recognizes the importance of maintaining focus in their pursuit of success.
“A game like this needs to be approached with caution,” Henty emphasized, acknowledging the challenges posed by Mezőkövesd-Zsóry, a team that has struggled in their recent league outings with no victories in the last 12 matches.
Speaking to Completesportsnigeria.com, Henty stated, “We still have lots of games to play, and we just need to stay focused to achieve our dream of landing the title and qualifying for the European competition next year. Taking each game as it comes is the best way to go.”
Having scored his debut Hungarian league goal against Mezőkövesd-Zsóry in his second appearance for Videoton, Henty expressed his satisfaction and conveyed his hope for further contributions in the upcoming match against the same opponent.
“I was pleased that I managed to score my first goal for Videoton in the away game at Mezőkövesd-Zsóry. I hope that I will score more goals for the club and particularly score against Mezőkövesd-Zsóry again on Saturday,” Henty affirmed, underscoring his commitment to his team’s success.
