Fatai Kehinde: Nigerian striker inspires Romanian club Otelul Galati to away win

Former Nigerian youth international, Fatai Kehinde registered his first goal of the season in Otelu Galati’s 2-0 away win at Craiova in the Romanian top division encounter at the Stadion Oblemenco on Friday.

The 33-year-old forward who joined Galati from Turan FC in Kazakhstan in January has previously played six other games this campaign without scoring.

After a barren first hald, It was Kehinde who opened the scoring in the 62nd minute after reaching to the end of Milken Zhelev’a cross.

Craiova staged a late rally to even the score but were denied by Otelul’s keeper with brilliant saves.

The visitors held on to its lead and doubled their advantage in the 80th minute when they Stefan Bodisteanu finished off a back pass from Jori Cisotti to give Otelul the big win.

The victory saw the visitors moved to 10th on the log with 11 points from10 games, two points behind Craiova who occupies eighth position.
