FIFA U20 World Cup: “Teams will be scared to face Nigeria now” — Garba Lawal

Former Nigeria international Garba Lawal said that the Flying Eagles have created a fear factor after eliminating host nation, Argentina at the ongoing 2023 U-20 World Cup.
The Flying Eagles earned a historic 2-0 victory over hosts Argentina at the Estadio San Juan on Wednesday night.
Thanks to second-half goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Haliru Sarki, Nigeria recorded its first-ever win over the Argentines at this level after losing the final in 2005.
Reacting to the victory, the Olympic gold medalist stated that the team has positioned itself where no team will be able to underrate them.
“This is definitely a massive win for the Flying Eagles because many people never gave the team a chance to upset Argentina,” Lawal told CompleteSports.
“I personally love the way they approached the game and hit them when it matters most. Kudos to Ladan Bosso and his players for their achievements.
“Now other teams will be scared of facing Nigeria and that is exactly what I want from the team.”
Ladan-Bosso’s team will now play Korean Republic for a place in the semi-final of the tournament.
