FIFA U20 World Cup: Time and where to watch Nigeria vs Italy

Italy and Nigeria will square off at the Estadio Malvinas Argentina in Mendoza, in a table toppers clash on May 24, 2023.

The Nigeria U20 team after defeating the Dominican Republic 2-1 are second behind Italy who defeated Brazil 3-2.

The Ladan Bosso-led team, in an attempt to claim one of the top two positions in Group D, which will guarantee their advancement at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup, must avoid defeat to the team of Carmine Nunziata.

While Nigeria conceded first against the Dominican Republic, Italy avoid losing an early 3-0 lead as they were under siege from Brazil late in the second half.

Italy are 2017 Bronze medalist after defeating Uruguay on penalties and aarived in Argentina with a strong record, having dropped just one of their previous ten games

The Flying Eagles on the other hand has finished second in the U20 World Cup twice, most recently in 2005, however, in each of their past three tournament appearances, they have been ousted in the round of 16.

The match between Nigeria and Italy in the FIFA U20 World Cup group stage is set for Wednesday, May 24, with a 7 PM kickoff.

The game will kick off at 7 PM Nigerian time and will be available on Startimes and DSTV.
