Finidi George hails ‘fantastic’ Nigeria Premier Football League title race challenge

Enyimba International head coach, Finidi George has praised the competition for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title race this season.

Five clubs are presently in the title race this season and share differences of one to three points each.

NPFL leaders, Lobi Stars are on 42 points, Plateau United second on the log with 41 points, Enugu Rangers third on 40 points, while Remo Stars and Enyimba have 39 points apiece.

The former international admits that the competition for the league title is an healthy one and believes that can produce our best players to be picked for the national team.

“The competition has been fantastic this season,” Finidi tol the club website.

“That’s what we expect so that we can have our players picked for the national team as well.”

The People’s Elephant will trade tackles with Doma United in their next game at the Enyimba stadium, Aba on Sunday, March 10.
