Finidi George Warns Rivers United of Tough Test Against Power Dynamos

Rivers United head coach Finidi George has acknowledged the challenge his side faces ahead of their CAF Champions League matchday four clash against Power Dynamos.

The Nigerian champions earned a valuable point in Ndola on matchday three after holding the Zambian side to a goalless draw, a result that kept Rivers United firmly in contention in their group.

Speaking ahead of the return fixture, Finidi stressed that no game at the group stage of Africa’s elite club competition can be taken lightly, insisting that Power Dynamos remain a serious threat despite playing away from home.

“First, we will rest and then see how we can prepare properly for the game,” Finidi said.
“Any team in the group stage of the CAF Champions League deserves to be there. They are good enough, so we expect an interesting game. We will see what happens on Saturday.”

Rivers United will host Power Dynamos at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, with the Pride of Rivers hoping to make home advantage count as they push for maximum points and strengthen their bid for progression from the group.
