Flamingos hit Lestar FA for 14 in dominant friendly win

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team continued their fine run of form with a resounding 14-0 victory over Lestar FA in a friendly match played on Thursday at the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja.

The win marked the ninth consecutive clean sheet for Bankole Olowookere’s side in their warm-up matches ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Queen Joseph led the charge with four goals. Shakirat Moshood grabbed a hat-trick.

Praise Agba also netted three times. Tabitha Terlumu scored twice.

Olamide Olanrewaju added one and an own goal completed the rout.

The Flamingos are set to depart Abuja on October 8 for Morocco, where they will represent Nigeria and Africa at the global showpiece.
