Flying Eagles in dicey group for 2024 WAFU-B U20 Championship in Togo

Nigeria’s U-20 national team has been placed in Group B for the 2024 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Championship, where they will compete against Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.
Group A features hosts nation Togo, along with Niger Republic, Ghana, and Benin Republic.
The tournament will kick off on October 17, with the first group matches concluding the following day. The second round of group games is scheduled for October 20 and 21, while the group stage will finish on October 24.
This championship serves as a qualifier for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The tournament winner will secure a spot in the U-20 AFCON and will also have the opportunity to qualify for the next FIFA U-20 World Cup.
