Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has continued to get accolades after helping Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season under the watch of Italian boss Luciano Spalletti.
The Nigeria international scored 26 goals and provided a further four assists to help the club secure their first title since the 1989/90 Diego Maradona-inspired season.
Thus, his contribution never goes unnoticed by present and former players, as well as fans and football experts.
Former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, who is of Nigerian descent but represents the United States of America is the latest to acknowledge the 24-year-old impact.
The Hale End graduate could have been in the Italian league competing for goals with Osimhen if his proposed move to Inter Milan in the summer per Goal was successful before he joined Monaco.
Speaking to ESPN UK, Balogun was asked to name the top three strikers in the world right now, and he listed Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and Victor Osimhen, calling the Napoli man world-class.
Despite his impressive record of 21 goals in 37 matches, Balogun still looks up to these top talents in the striker role.
In the viral video on social media, Balogun, who is currently on loan at Stade de Reims, expressed his admiration for these exceptional strikers and tagged Osimhen as world-class.
“I think I’d say over the last couple of seasons, he has really made that move into a world Class striker,” Balogun said.
