Former ABS coach Henry Makinwa in pole position to take over at Elkanemi Warriors

Former Nigerian international and former Head Coach of ABS FC, Henry Makinwa is leading the shortlisted names of coaches to be the new manager of Elkanemi Warriors.

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side are without a coach after sacking their former handler, Abubakar Hassan following miserable first round outing in their return to top flight.

The Borno Armies are rocking the bottom of Group A with fewest points (five) to show after nine round of matches.

Makinwa who has had times in the Premier League with ABS FC, Katsina United and Abia Warriors is tipped to be appointed for the vacant role.

The Spain trained coach who has top UEFA coaching license will still need to jostle with other names for the top job including former Vandrezzer coach, Rafael Everton and Coach Godfrey Esu.

El Kanemi are expected to name a new manager before the commencement of the second round of the 2022/2023 NPFL season.
