Friendly: Finidi George targets positive results against Ghana, Mali friendlies
By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria interim head coach, Finidi George is targeting positive outcomes in the friendly games against Ghana and Mali in Morocco.
The ex international is saddled with the responsibility of headlining the Super Eagles technical crew following the departure of former coach, Jose Peseiro.
Finidi said he’s more concerned in making Nigerians proud and the two friendlies are crucial and important for the Super Eagles to take seriously.
The gaffer believes they must meet up with the responsibility on their shoulders as Nigerians eyes are on them not to fail.
“We want to make them proud. AFCON is gone so this are two games that are very crucial for Nigeria so we will take it seriously and get the best out of this games,” Finidi was quoted by NFF TV.
“As a coach there’s responsibility and that’s what we do, have to be calm and do the job and do it properly because a lot of Nigerians are watching.”
Nigeria will play against Ghana on Friday, March 22, while they take on Mali on Monday, March 26 in Marakesh, Morocco.
