Full house as Kanu, Alozie, and Echegini complete Super Falcons camp in Antalya

The Nigeria women’s national team camp in Antalya reached the full house of 23 at breakfast on Thursday with the arrival of the remaining three players expected in the the Turkish city.
The arrival of Racing Louisville forward, Uchenna Kanu on Wednesday increased the squad to 21 players in camp.
Houston Dash forward Michelle Alozie and Florida State University midfielder Jennifer Onyi Echegini joined the team on Thursday morning ahead of Friday’s friendly match with Haiti.
With the duo’s arrival, the team now has a full house of 23 players in Antalya, with Ifeoma Onumonu and Osinachi Ohale puling out due varying reasons.
The Super Falcons are back to winning ways thanks to a 1-0 win over World Cup-bound Costa Rica at the Revelation Cup Tournament in Mexico City in February and will seek to build on the momentum against the Haitians.
World Cup co-hosts New Zealand will be next in line for the Falcons on Tuesday, at the Mardan Sports Complex also in Antalya.
The two sets of games are aimed at preparing Nigeria for this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The nine-time African champions will face Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland in Group B. Nigeria is one of only seven countries to have featured in every edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup since inception in 1991.
This year’s global finals will be the first finals to be held in the Southern Hemisphere, the first to welcome 32 teams and the first to be played across two countries in two different confederations.
