Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has lauded Victor Osimhen as the world’s best striker, praising the Nigerian forward for his exceptional form since joining the Turkish giants on loan from Napoli.

Osimhen, 25, has been in scintillating form for Galatasaray, scoring eight goals in just nine matches this season.

Buruk, who has closely observed the striker’s impact, believes Osimhen is now among the elite in European football and has even ranked him ahead of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as the best and most influential striker in Europe.

“There are not many elite strikers in Europe,” Buruk said, as quoted by Assist Analiz.

“Haaland may come to mind first, but since Manchester City have lost in recent weeks, I would say Osimhen is the best right now.”

Osimhen’s remarkable performances have helped Galatasaray reach the top of the Turkish Super Lig table, where they currently sit with 31 points from 11 matches.

The Yellow and Reds will look to extend their lead when they face 16th-placed Bodrum in their next fixture on Saturday, November 23.

As Osimhen continues to shine in Turkey, his reputation as one of the best strikers in the world grows ever stronger.
