Halimatu Ayinde scores in leaders Rosengard thrashing of Brommapojkarna

Halimatu Ayinde scored her first goal of the season as Rosengard FC defeated IF Brommapojkarna 7-0 in the Swedish women’s top-flight league on Sunday.

Sofie Brefgaard scored the first goal in the fourth minute. Olivia Schough assisted Rebecca Knaak for the second goal in the 14th minute.

Ayinde extended the lead to 3-0 in the 18th minute with an assist from Mai Kadowaki. Olivia Holdt made it 4-0 in the 34th minute before halftime.

Six minutes into the second half, Kadowaki scored again to increase the lead to 5-0. Olivia Schough scored twice in the 72nd and 79th minutes, completing the 7-0 win.

Ayinde was substituted in the 56th minute after scoring her goal. The win put Rosengard ten points clear at the top of the league table with 33 points from 11 games.

Rosengard will next host Orebro at the Malmo IP on June 20, 2024.
