Heartland Queens’ Endurance Omaraka ready for strong finish to NWFL Premiership

By Wale Mustapha

Heartland Queens’ striker, Endurance Omaraka, has revealed that her team is primed to raise their performance as the second half of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) season begins.

After a mixed first-round campaign, with one win, two draws, and four losses, the Owerri-based club sits sixth on the league table.

However, Omaraka is confident that the team is prepared to turn things around in the second half of the season.

“The first round was very tight for us, and our performance wasn’t the best, but in this second round, we are determined to up our game with extra effort,” Omaraka told Sports Gister.

“That means we will go all out with bigger commitments, starting with this reverse fixture in Kogi. We look forward to a victory against Confluence Queens.”

Heartland Queens will face Confluence Queens in the opening match of the second round on Wednesday in Anyingba, aiming to kick off the second half of the season with a strong result.
