“He’ll make serious contributions” — Turkish analyst tasks Galatasaray on Osayi-Samuel

By Monsurah Olatunji

Turkish football pundit Ali Ece has called on Galatasaray to make a move for Nigeria international Bright Osayi-Samuel as his contract with Fenerbahçe nears its expiration.

The Super Eagles defender, who has attracted interest from several European clubs, has been heavily linked with a potential move to Galatasaray.

Since joining Fenerbahçe in January 2021, Osayi-Samuel has established himself as a key figure, making 107 appearances in the Super Lig, scoring six goals, and providing eight assists.

The 27-year-old has continued to be a vital member of Fenerbahçe’s squad under manager Jose Mourinho, having made 21 appearances in all competitions this season.

However, with his contract expiring this summer and no new deal on the table, Osayi-Samuel’s future at the club remains uncertain.

Speaking on the Vole YouTube channel via habersarikirmizi, Ali Ece weighed in on the rumors surrounding Osayi-Samuel’s potential move, suggesting he would be a significant addition to Galatasaray’s squad.

“I think that Trabzonspor’s Eren Elmalı and Osayi-Samuel, whose contract is about to expire, will make serious contributions if they come to Galatasaray,” Ece said.

He added, “Galatasaray is currently very far ahead in the championship race, and if they do not make any mistakes until the derby, it seems that there may be an even bigger gap between them and Fenerbahçe.”
