Ikogho Charles Figo: German-based Nigerian coach offers to handle national teams

Ikogho Charles Figo, a Germany based Nigerian football coach has expressed interest to handle any of the Nigeria national teams, if the opportunities are available.
Coach Figo, who holds both a UEFA B and UEFA youth elite licenses and on his UEFA A coaching course, believes he has all it takes to make positive impact in Nigerian football with his years of experience in Africa, Asia and Europe.
He said the county has the potential to compete favorably with other countries in the game of football but with proper coaching and scouting programs.
“If the opportunities are there, why not?, I have garnered more knowledge about football in Africa, Asia and in Europe, it will be an honor to impact and give back to my country with my experience,” Figo said.
Figo suited up for NEPA FC, Niger Tornadoes, Shooting Stars and Kwara United in Nigeria before moving to Asia where he played for Teregganu FC of Malaysia, Shek Rassel FC of Bangladesh and Rahmatgang of Bangladesh.
He moved over to Europe in 2008 and at different occasions played for Oulin Tarmo C of Finland, Haukipudan Pallo FC of Finland, Santa Claus FC and Orpa FC all in Finland.
He has served as the Head Coach of Oulin Palloseura Oulu Finland both in second and first divisions, SSV Biberach B team in Germany among others.
