Jamal Musiala reveals why he dump Nigeria for Germany

One of the talented players who could have been playing for his native country, Nigeria is Bayern Munich kid sensation Jamal Musiala.

The young Bavarian who is of Nigerian father but a German mother has represented both England and Germany at youth level but finally decided to play for Germany.

Musiala distinguished himself at the 2022 FIFA World Cup despite Germany’s lackluster outing in Qatar.

Musiala disclosed that he nurtured the idea of representing Nigeria and play for Super Eagles but eventually choose to play for the Die Man Shaft where he believed would give him more comfort.

“So it just came down to me and where I’d feel the most comfortable. So I decided to go to Germany,” Musiala said in an interview with a UK based media outfit.

“I could have played for Nigeria because it crossed my mind, and I thought about it well. I had good talks with Nigeria and Germany.”

Musiala has however, joined the growing list of Nigerians who have played for Germany including Karim Adeyemi and Patrick Omomoyela.
