Joe Aribo and Sam Edozie headline Southampton squad for Spain trip

By Olu Dare
Nigeria international Joe Aribo and Super Eagles prospect Sam Edozie made Southampton squad to Spain for a winter training camp.
Nathan Jones and his coaching staff will work with the group over the coming week on the southern coast of Andalucía, as they continue preparing for the post-World Cup restart.
The below players have travelled, with Tino Livramento included within the group as he continues his rehab programme.
Mohammed Salisu and Armel Bella-Kotchap will return to training at a later date after competing in the World Cup.
Jones explained the importance to him of building those positive relationships, with trust in both directions, and how that is fundamental to his approach.
“For us to demand from them, they have to see our work is good and that they can trust us and that we care about them,” he told the club website.
“This week away gives us a real opportunity, in a different environment and a different setting, because we do demand from them, we do ask them to work hard, we do ask them for different things than maybe they’ve done before.
“To be able to do that in a real good setting, they get to see us and get to know us, and us to get to know them, plus we get to see real progress in terms of things we want to do.”
