Remo Stars will host South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round tie on October 17 in Nigeria, with the return fixture slated for October 24 in Tshwane.

The Nigeria Premier Football League champions advanced with a commanding 5-0 aggregate win over Comoros’ US Zilimandjou, recording a 4-0 victory in Abeokuta before sealing the tie 1-0 away.

For Sundowns, the fixture marks the start of another push to reinforce their continental dominance, while Remo Stars view the clash as a golden opportunity to measure themselves against one of Africa’s most formidable clubs.
