John Fashanu hails Alex Iwobi as a Nigeria legend

Former England international John Fashanu has bestowed the title of “legend” upon Alex Iwobi, the Nigerian midfielder.
Despite facing online criticism for his performance during the 2023 AFCON, Iwobi has bounced back admirably, notably excelling for Fulham following the Africa mundial.
Fashanu emphasized Iwobi’s legendary status in Nigeria, highlighting the widespread admiration for his contributions to football.
Describing Iwobi as a “fantastic player” who consistently leaves a positive impact on matches, Fashanu expressed his admiration for the midfielder’s playing style.
“Alex Iwobi is revered as a legend in Nigeria, and his name resonates throughout the country,” Fashanu remarked.
“His remarkable impact on the pitch is what truly defines football. He’s been exceptional! He embodies the spirit of Nigerian football, and I admire his playing style.”
Iwobi recently returned to action for the Super Eagles, showcasing his prowess with a brilliant assist for Ademola Lookman’s goal against Ghana in an international friendly held in Morocco.
