John Fashanu tips Victor Osimhen for Liverpool move

Former Wimbledon striker John Fashanu has voiced his belief that Victor Osimhen could be destined for Liverpool.

The transfer market has been buzzing with speculation surrounding the Napoli forward ever since he announced his departure from the Serie A champions at the end of the season.

Fashanu, considering Osimhen’s career trajectory predominantly at average clubs, acknowledges the challenge in advising him on a move to a big club.

Expressing his views, Fashanu stated, “Having spent my career at smaller sides, I find it challenging to advise Victor Osimhen on which bigger club to join. I won’t mention Chelsea, Manchester United, or Arsenal.”

He continued, “Liverpool stands out as one of the world’s biggest and most esteemed clubs, consistently performing at the top of the Premier League. Hence, I firmly believe that he should consider Liverpool.”

Fashanu, known for his illustrious 17-year career and tally of 149 goals in 394 club appearances, emphasized Liverpool’s credentials in the football world.

His comments come amid ongoing discussions regarding Osimhen’s potential transfer destination as clubs jostle for his signature.

Fashanu, who made two appearances for the English national team in 1989, remains a respected figure in football circles, offering insights drawn from his rich experience in the sport.
